Born in january 2005, Sugartown Cabaret play a kind of emo hardcore stuff, mixed with heavy parts like Isis, Cult of Luna, or more rock punk parts like At the Drive-In or Emo 90's. We took the way to prefer speak about simple moments of life, like trying to enjoy or stop parts of life. Instead of have a political demonstration in the music, we feel anarchism of the way to be, with the people, with themselves, and with the way of the band. And talking about how we feel the simple moments is a form of the vision we have of life, to be always a children and have in mind that life is short, and enjoy like it's the first time things happen to us. It's a DIY band, who try to make as possible the most shows on tour in squats, diy association or places. We've been touring all around europe, in germany, poland, spain, italy, slovenia, croatia and serbia. All the stuff released are made by ourselves, and booking too. After some demo, cdr live, splits, we came out our first album in october 2007, always with the most cheaper price possibility. Two anarchists are in the band, they stopped being activist because of music, but they still feel it. The others are just feeling that it's may be the best way of political. That's why the band is not an anarchist band because of no lyrics about it, but anarchists people. Because we live it all the days, and all the tour we made. |
