Pekatralatak was a French anarchopunk band formed in Seine-et-Marne in the middle of the Nineties. The group was dissolved in 2005.

It was made up in its last years of a singer, a guitarist, a bass player and a rhythm box... The line up has changed alot over the years. Their music was inspired by Berurier Noir, but also by Ludwig von 88 and in general by a whole fringe of the alternate punk scene and anarchopunk of the years 1980 (Kochise, Corpses, Heyoka, Verdun...).

The songs, which had a strong revolutionary anarchistic tendency, evoked various fights like the anticapitalism, animal liberation, but also the Basque independence fight or the self-criticism of the punk movement.

They often played with Foetus Party and recorded Split CD in 2004. They were also in contact with the groups Urban Blight, Tekken, Zeppo, CIMTIERE LIKID, AK47...

Pekatralatak always functioned without compromise, whether it was the distribution, in the concerts, the engagements, the texts or the music. There always remained free and autonomous.

Their name PEKATRALATAK comes from a transformation of the name P4 A the ATTACK for aesthetic reasons... The P4 term being a reference to a radical antimilitarism.
