esus Bruiser are a D.I.Y band who play kind of crusty, d-beat, hardcore, anarcho-punk, if you want my opinion. We are Andy – vox, Badger – bass, Mat – drums, Myles – guitar & vox, Talia - vox

Jesus Bruiser first struggled into existence in early 2006 with 5 of us practicing in the basement of the guitarist’s house. We starting gigging in the summer of that year, playing whatever gigs were offered us (very few) and organising gigs so that we could play them, this is pretty much what we still do. By the first half of 2007 we were basically still pretty shambolic with lots of missed practices and several wobbly performances. In summer of that year the guitarist with the basement left due to irreconcilable musical differences (he was a talented musician and by this point had realised that the noise the rest of us made was irreconcilably different from music).

This was a shame but gave us the kick up the arse we needed to get our shit together. Since them we’ve played a load of gigs (mostly in Bristol but getting out of town whenever we can), recorded a demo (which sounds like what it is - 4 people giving each other flu – and is on this page if you want to hear it), and toured in Europe, which was fucking amazing. Whilst over there we got an extra vocalist, she was initially just driving us around but learnt one of our songs each night and decided to join the band. This has put a permanent smile on the face of everyone concerned.

If you want to get in touch with us that would be cool, just contact us through our website (we haven’t got a myspace and nor should you, it’s owned by Rupert Murdoch, end of argument). If you’d like us to play a gig that’d be cool as well, we are all in the band because we love playing live and are always well up for playing new places.
